Amy Locane-Bovenizer, who is a Melrose Place star, has pleaded not guilty in Superior Court on Friday to charges linked to a fatal car crash in New Jersey last year.She is thirty-nine-year-old and from Hopewell. She is charged with aggravated manslaughter and assault by automobile.
In June 27,2010, Locane-Bovenizer's SUV hit a car driven by Fred and Helene Seeman as they were pulling into their Montgomery, N.J. driveway. Seeman's wife, Helene, was dead at the scene, while her husband was seriously injured. Police said officers arrested Locane-Bovenizer shortly after incident, detecting alcohol on her breath.
Locane-Bovenizer's lawyer, Blair Zwillman, is seeking to have the indictment dismissed. The actress is currently out on $50,000 bail.
In 1992, Locane-Bovenizer played Sandy Louise Harling on the first season of Melrose Place. Her other credits include the films Cry-Baby, Airheads and School Ties. She was credited as Amy Locane before she married Mark Bovenizer.
