Jessica Beagley, a 36-year-old mother of six, was found guilty of one count of misdemeanor child abuse by an Alaska jury. She'll be sentenced on Monday (Aug. 29) and could face up to a year in prison.
Beagley appealed to "Dr. Phil" for help, she claims, because son Kristoff -- one of two twins she adopted from Russia -- was out of control. In video shown on the show and allegedly shot by her 10-year-old daughter, Beagley can be seen forcing Kristoff to drink from a bottle of hot sauce and asking him what happens when he lies to her.
"I get hot sauce," he replies.
On the show, Beagley also admitted to spanking Kristoff and forcing him to do jumping jacks to the point of exhaustion.
